Eric Slyfield is a Toronto-based artist and designer. Slyfield’s work is interdisciplinary in nature, using sound, photography, installation, drawing and digital media. Balancing theory and practice, works often engage with and explore ideas rooted in critical media theory and cultural sociology. Slyfield’s works have been previously featured in exhibitions and galleries including Nuit Blanche, the Doris McCarthy Gallery, ‘Coming of Age’ at Daniels, and Art Museum at the University of Toronto. Thematically, works tend to explore, movement, migration, and the role of both the body and technology in the process of art-making.

Slyfield has also worked on videos for institutions and brands including York University, The University of Toronto, Uber, and SalesForce. Eric is passionate about archiving and digital technologies. In 2020, Slyfield translated this interest and experience into a digital design studio and wordpress web development practice called NONARCHIVAL.
